about this project

New Vision project

Visions of the world
visions of how the world might become, how we can re-shape it
visions also of how the world is, but with a different “view”,
trying to see things differently,
to take off the blinkers,
to question the way we are taught to perceive and judge what surrounds us.

Initially planned as a personal quest, the project is evolving into a more detached search for connections between different alternative ways of seeing and perceiving what surrounds us and the way art plays a role in our perceptions of the world, if it still does that or if the magic and the power of art to do so has been lost.

In this research the “I” plays a less central role even though it remains a deeply involved way of working , as I am, of course,  not only researching but experimenting, trying out, creating texts and visuals that are partially performative.
For me this means a shift from extremely personal art towards a more open and depersonalised way of working.
